We have to say “NO” almost 30 times every month

Family Life Services meets a desperate need in our city for single moms leaving homelessness and domestic violence. We receive almost 30 calls a month to join our community, but our 9 apartments are always full. When we have to say “no,” families miss the chance to build better futures in our faith-filled community.

Help us say “YES”!

With your help, we will more than double our capacity. Our goal is to meet the growing demand and to transform our worn-down buildings into a village worthy of the moms and kids we serve. We’ll be able to say “Yes” to 19 families who will build new futures! The Rebuilt Village of Family Life will continue for decades to launch hundreds more hardworking single moms as the dignified, stable heads of their households, equipped to meet their families' challenges.

Meeting a Desperate Need

Since 1942, FLS has sheltered some of our city’s most vulnerable and for decades, we’ve leveraged our pastoral 2 acres to serve single moms & their children well. Our 9 apartments are always full. Our trauma-informed approach works. At the same time, family homelessness is on the rise in our city and nation. We currently receive 30+ calls a month from courageous moms we can’t serve because we are always at capacity.

Lovingly tended, our current units are well past their useful life, with some dating back to WWII and all in constant need of repair. They have been retrofitted to their limit and must be replaced.

That’s why the Reimagined, Rebuilt Village of Family Life on our prime existing site is the next step God has prepared for us. We will provide 19 new units for single moms and their children leaving behind homelessness and domestic violence. Your gift makes possible 19 homes for 19 families—more than double our current capacity, homes that match their dignity and their hard work to build new futures.
