Ongoing Needs:
- Courageous Kids – fun but structured program with children while moms attend group meetings. Join the large team of adults that make a difference in kids’ lives.
- Mentoring moms for our Women of Courage outreach program.
- Monday Night Meals for nine moms and 20 kids as they gather for facilitated learning. We make it easy! Learn more.
- Administrative help in the FLS office.
- Maintenance of FLS, including weeding, leaf raking, and general cleaning. A great family or group opportunity!
- Website and social media content development. Make FLS better known!
- Board members invested in the growth of FLS
- Interior Designers – help us make our spaces beautiful.
- Gardeners – help us better plan and maintain our gardens and lovely grounds.
- Have another skill you’d like to share? We can put all your talents to use!
Special Events:
- Easter: Plan and execute an Easter egg hunt and fun morning for residents and children.
- Mother’s Day: FLS’ biggest party of the year. Provide small gifts or food, help set up.
- Friend-raising dinners: Host an intimate dinner in your home or at FLS for friends to learn more about FLS.
- Thanksgiving: Provide dinner baskets for our moms and kids.
- Christmas: Help decorate our Victorian home for Christmas. Serve during our Christmas Open House. Plan and execute Christmas events for moms and kids with a gift drive.
- Employee Work Days: Many businesses and organizations serve FLS during employee community service days. Join the fun!
