75th Anniversary
1942-2017
Summer 2017
Dear Past and Present FLS Family,
Family Life Services turns 75 this year—that’s 75 years of serving orphans as Christian Home for Children (CHC), and single-mom families as Family Life Services and Women of Courage (WOC). And to celebrate, we hope you’ll join our party!
FLS will host a celebration dinner on Friday evening, Sept. 15. Seating is limited for the dinner, so please reserve your spot soon! (Limit 10 per table.)
The next day, Saturday afternoon, Sept. 16, FLS will host a Family Fall Festival, from 1-4 p.m. Come one, come all!
Both events will include silent auctions (all proceeds benefit FLS – you can come as early Friday as 5 to peruse the offerings!). On both days you can park at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High, just over a mile down Cheyenne Road from FLS, and we will provide shuttles to our property.
You’re part of the story. Would you consider writing about your experience with CHC/FLS/WOC? We’re hoping to receive at least 75 stories. Send them by email to sues.hess@flscs.org.
Hotel Elegante, located at I-25 and Circle, is offering a special rate for out-of-town guests. Please mention FLSCS when booking.
We hope you’ll join us in September!
Sues Hess, FLS Executive Director
On behalf of the FLS Board
P.S.: Our kids are thoroughly enjoying this summer’s four-day-a-week program. Several have also attended Camp Elim for week-long camps this summer. Pray that they end the summer with greater reverence and reliance on Jesus.
P.P.S.: Thanks to all of you who supported us through the June Black Bear Diner fundraiser. These special events not only help bring in needed funds, but raise awareness of FLS. Would you pray about a special donation to FLS in honor of our 75th anniversary? Or becoming a monthly donor if you aren’t already?
