Farewell Message from Sues Hess

Dear FLS Family,

I have loved serving at FLS. Cheering women on as they seek growth and tackle barriers in their lives has been a privilege. But the time has come for me to leave FLS and explore new opportunities. FLS is a strong ministry with a vital mission and I trust it will continue to serve our community well for another 75 years. I pray that the Lord will bless the work and bring true transformation to the women FLS serves.

Blessings to all of you and thank you for your faithful support.

Sues Hess

Message from the Board of Directors:

We express our sincere gratitude to the FLS family for your faithful support for the ministry and your investment in the lives of the women and children we serve. Your generosity helps moms thrive.

And FLS is thriving as well. Under Sues’ leadership, FLS is doing great work, is financially stable, and is connected to vital ministry partners. The Board appreciates and values all of the skills, passion and energy that she has poured into FLS. We would not be where we are today, offering a safe harbor for women to pursue true transformation, without Sues.   She has positioned us well for another 75 years of service!

As Sues looks for new challenges to make use of her significant gifts and talents, we wish her well and pray that her next pursuit will be fulfilling.

The Board has decided to restructure the Executive Director position into two different director positions – a Community Relations Director and an Operations Director. We hope to have each of these roles filled soon and look forward to introducing the new staff members to you. In the meantime, if you have any questions or would like to talk with any of the Board members, please call or email anytime.

Thank you for your prayers during this transition. We trust that the Lord will continue to be faithful in His provision for the ministry and we rely on Him.

With warm appreciation,
