School is back in full swing, and Fall is almost upon us! A few of the leaves are turning here on our property, and the mornings are feeling cooler. Piles of leaves, turkey, pie and sleigh bells are fast approaching.
Fall is a wonderful time to volunteer at Family Life Services. There is always so much to do and so many ways to get involved! Here are a few examples:
See all these leaves? They fall off! Bring a group, and we’ll provide the rakes!
Do you like to cook? Consider preparing and serving a meal for our resident families! It’s a huge blessing to give the moms a night off from cooking, and a great way for the families to get together and fellowship around our dining room table.
Do you love the holidays? So do we! Perhaps you or your group would like to contribute to a Thanksgiving feast or are interested in sponsoring a family for Christmas! Contact us to discuss some fun ways to make the holidays a very special season for our families.
There are so many fun ways to bless families and get involved with us. If you would like to organize a group and participate in any of the ways listed above, or if you have a suggestion of your own, please contact Katie Stedman, Operations Director: katie.stedman@flscs.org!
